Texas CDL backing rental and vehicle familiarization
Apply existing backing skills to a rented CDL vehicle in Royse City. Up to 30 minutes per day Monday–Wednesday, 90 minutes total, $125 per day.
Apply your backing skills to the vehicle’s handling
Truck wheelbase, steering response, trailer length and mirror views can differ from equipment you have used before. The backing rental and familiarization service gives customers with previously acquired skills limited vehicle time in a marked backing environment. Customers independently operate the vehicle using those skills. The paid service does not teach, coach or demonstrate beginner backing maneuvers.
Published backing schedule and fee
Up to 30 minutes per day for up to three days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Maximum total time is 90 minutes. The fee is $125 per 30-minute day, up to $375 total. Select this service individually and review the advance-disclosure and refund terms before arranging a start date.
Backing familiarization and ELDT range are different
A short familiarization session helps you become accustomed to rented equipment. Applicable ELDT range activity is a separate federal training component with its own curriculum, assessment and documentation. Tell us your current ability and licensing goal so you can discuss the appropriate options.
Questions before you arrange service
Is this beginner backing instruction?
No. Paid backing familiarization is limited vehicle access for independently applying skills you already have. Discuss any separate applicable ELDT range needs before booking.

A self-directed alternative to a traditional CDL school
Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.
Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.
